STEP 1 – Application of Nano Carbon Particles
The procedure lasts around 45 minutes, starting with the therapist putting eye shields on you. A face mask of activated charcoal or carbon powder is prepared and gently applied to your face. Once applied, it will look like you’re wearing a mud mask!
STEP 2 – Breakdown of dirt and epidermal keratinocytes
The laser passes over your skin emitting pulses that heat thin layers of collagen and skin tissue. The carbon absorbs the heat and transfers it to allow deeper penetration into your skin.
The laser energy works to break down any pigment, which is eliminated naturally by your body. It also helps to stimulate collagen production, which minimizes fine lines.
STEP 3 – Stimulating skin cell regeneration
In Q-switch mode, the laser lightly exfoliates your skin. You will hear a slight pop as the carbon is removed from the skin. You may feel a slight tingling sensation. This superficial exfoliation removes excess sebum, exfoliates the top layer of skin and unclogs pores.
STAGE 4 – Production of new collagen and elastin
The final pass is made over your face to ensure that all the carbon has been removed. The laser frequency is increased again to ensure that all the carbon has been vaporized.
Always use SPF 30 or higher.
