Lymphatic drainage

O que é uma drenagem linfática?

Manual lymphatic drainage helps fight cellulite and the appearance of fat caused by fluid retention, stimulating circulation, reducing swelling and promoting smoother, firmer skin.

Lymphatic drainage, often called a “detox massage”, assists the body’s internal filtration mechanisms, helping to keep the immune system in balance, where the movements are gentle and repetitive.

For those who have undergone surgery, we offer a specialized physiotherapist who performs post-operative lymphatic drainage.

O que acontece durante a drenagem linfática?

Lymphatic drainage is a body massage that aims to eliminate excess fluids and toxins from the body. In order to achieve this effect, the massage is done with light, gentle movements, always towards the lymph nodes, in order to stimulate and empty them. Only a small amount of pressure is applied to the skin with the hands, as excessive pressure can inhibit lymphatic circulation, compromising its benefits.

The lymph nodes are found mainly in the neck, armpits and groin. Stimulation in these areas should be done before starting the emptying maneuvers, and should be repeated throughout the session.

Important: Lymphatic drainage treatment begins with an assessment of your health history.
