Sclerotherapy

Eliminate varicose veins and strokes

Varicose Veins and Strokes

Having varicose veins and/or telangiectasia (leakage) in the legs can negatively affect a woman's self-esteem.

Varicose veins usually become swollen and sometimes even lumps appear on the skin. The bluish or reddish coloration makes them difficult to hide. Although spills are smaller and less obvious, they can still have a detrimental effect on self-esteem.

Varicose veins and strokes occur when the valves that support the flow of blood back to the heart stop working properly, causing the blood to flow the wrong way and causing swelling.

Sclerotherapy

Fortunately, there are effective treatments to treat varicose veins and effusions. At our clinic we use sclerotherapy to help you get smooth, spot-free legs.

Sclerotherapy, popularly known as "varicose vein drying treatment", is a procedure that helps eradicate varicose veins and effusions by redirecting the blood through alternative, undamaged routes. This process takes a few days to establish and determines the disappearance of the vast majority of the veins, providing a satisfactory aesthetic result. During the procedure, very thin needles are used to inject a liquid into the vein, causing it to collapse and be reabsorbed into the tissue and removed from the body by natural processes, disappearing within a month. However, some veins may only significantly reduce in size, not disappear completely.

This procedure can only be performed by doctors. It is a simple, outpatient treatment that requires no special preparation, no anesthesia, no fasting, and no laboratory tests.

Causes

Often varicose veins and strokes are hereditary, other times they occur due to:

  • hormonal changes, such as during puberty, menopause, or pregnancy,
  • obesity,
  • spend longong periods of standing.

In most cases, there are no symptoms although some people may experience discomfort and pain in the area.
