As a guideline, it can range from 1 to 3 years for micropigmentation before a re-treatment is necessary, although it is recommended to do maintenance color touch-ups between 9 to 12 months after the original treatment. When the color begins to fade, you will know that you are ready to do a color touch-up. On average, eyebrows and lips will start fading sooner (9 to 12 months); eyeliners (1 to 2 years).

Treatment time will vary depending on how advanced or detailed the required result is. While some treatments may take as little as an hour, it is advisable to allow about 2 hours and 10 minutes for your consultation (including consultation time on the day of treatment).

The treated areas will be darker immediately after the initial session and for the next 6-12 days, but the color will lighten after that period. Many people return to work the same day after treatment, however, it is advisable not to drive after an eyeliner treatment if your eyes become a little puffy or watery immediately after treatment.

It is also advisable not to drive immediately after eye procedures. The lip area will be sensitive, and to avoid the risk of infection, it is not recommended to consume food or drink or touch the area immediately after the procedure.
